Like most people I have always had an interest in jewellery (especially the wearing of it) but found that I was unable to fit in a course around my other commitments.  Then my mom introduced me to a course in the Jewellery Quarter in Birmingham that was held in the evenings and was an intimate group so the tutor could offer a more personal tuition. The thing that fascinated me the most about this course was the beautiful beads of all different shapes, sizes and colours and I found that most of my time was spent choosing which beads I wanted to use and hurrying to finish my piece by the end of the session!!! This is what gave me the idea of setting up my own online bead business. I contacted the Princes Trust and, after several very informative meetings in which I was assisted in producing a business plan and was put in touch with a web designer, I met with the board. They awarded me the funding and away I went!!!
